The expansion of the management board will take place on an interim basis and is related to a provision in Haniel's charter, according to which the company's management always consists of more than one person. In addition, the selection process for the CEO successor is currently underway. While completing this process with the necessary care and calm the interim appointment will allow Haniel to fully meet the requirements imposed by the charter after former CFO Dr. Florian Funck left the company on January 31, 2024.

Alexandra Albrecht-Baba has been Head of Legal & Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) at Haniel since August 2022. In this role, she is already a member of the Leadership Team that has been supporting CFO Henk Derksen in managing Haniel since his start on October 1, 2023. In addition to her legal expertise, Alexandra Albrecht-Baba has extensive experience in the area of corporate governance, particularly in the establishment and further development of management systems.
