Creditor Relations
As a well-rated borrower, Haniel has various options to raise funds. Loans and credit lines are the long-term anchor of our financing and form the basis of our business relations with international banking partners. In addition, we raise long-term funds through bonds and private placements. Short-term liquidity requirements are also regularly covered by commercial papers.

Maintain flexibility
Sound financing
The Haniel holding finances its investments in portfolio companies through both equity from around 750 Haniel shareholders and external debt capital. To ensure liquidity and create room for sustainable investments, we rely on long-term debt financing.
A key pillar is bilateral credit lines with a term of up to five years. To ensure flexibility at all times, we place particular emphasis on maintaining sufficient free credit lines and a balanced maturity profile. Our financing agreements contain neither financial covenants nor rating-related termination rights.
