Sustainable energy
We are switching the energy supply on campus to renewable energy. Once the measures have been completed, all buildings on the Enkelfähig Campus will be supplied primarly with self-produced energy (electricity, heating, cooling). The installed PV systems installed on the flat roofs have a size of over 1,500 m2 and an output of over 350 kWp. With the electricity produced the company operates five large heat pumps. These have an output of almost 2 megawatts and cool the campus with 1.5 megawatts in summer. We are thus pioneering sustainable energy supply in Ruhrort.
