Florian Funck will not extend his contract

Duisburg, 22 Dezember 2022. Haniel CFO Florian Funck has informed the Supervisory Board that he will not extend his contract, which runs until August 2024. This way, he early wants to set the course for an orderly succession.

“After more than two decades at Haniel, I would like to start a new chapter in my professional life. I am very grateful for the personal and professional development that the company and the Haniel family have made possible for me in the Group. Of course, I will continue to be available to Haniel – both for financial management in the challenging year 2023 as well as for ensuring my succession planning,” says Florian Funck.

Doreen Nowotne, Chairman of the Haniel Supervisory Board, comments: “The family and the Supervisory Board have known and appreciated Florian for many years. We are deeply regretting his decision. At the same time, we respect his choice and are grateful that Florian has informed us so early, as it gives us the opportunity to initiate an orderly succession process. Today it is too early to talk about Florian's outstanding contribution as he will continue to fully support Haniel’s ongoing transformation process in the coming year.”
