ecoworks offers modular renovation solutions for the housing industry. The company, led by CEO and founder Emanuel Heisenberg, plans, designs and installs façade and roof elements to rapidly transform apartment buildings with a significant renovation backlog into attractive and climate-neutral living spaces.
With its business model, ecoworks makes an important contribution to the decarbonization of the European building sector. According to the company, around 50 percent of the 315 million residential units in this sector have an energy efficiency rating of E or worse. In the EU, this will require multi-trillion euro investments by 2030.
ecoworks is already the ninth direct investment from Haniel's cleantech-focused growth capital fund.
