Surprisingly enkelfähig

It is fairly obvious that a good kindergarten for everyone or a packaging series based on natural materials are enkelfähig. However, the Haniel portfolio also includes numerous enkelfähig “hidden champions” – products and solutions that are particularly sustainable, durable and of a high quality only at second or third glance. An overview of some surprisingly enkelfähig solutions.

Industrial swivel chair (Kaiser+Kraft)

Enkelfähig rating: 3.9

A master chair in a production environment must stand a lot: quick turns, jolts, twists, liquids, and sparks. The industrial swivel chair from Kaiser+Kraft has thus been created with a focus on robustness and stability. In addition, thanks to modern ergonomic functions, it meets all the requirements for healthy sitting. Environmental demands are also satisfied: the fabric is Oeko-Tex certified, materials are partially recycled, and the supplier compensates for the CO2 emissions caused within the production and shipping process through internationally recognized climate protection projects. A good profitability also adds to the good Enkelfähig rating.

Air Cleaner Intersense (CWS)

Enkelfähig rating: 3.75

Wherever people come together, the risk of transmitting infections is high – which, of course, also goes along with relevant costs for companies. Air purification devices, amongst other things, are a good remedy for this. The new model from CWS not only offers protection against viruses, but also neutralizes odors and operates particularly quietly. Recyclable components, a low energy consumption, European suppliers with high environmental standards, and distribution via a rental model, form the basis for a long service life and a good rating.

Shelf trolley (Kaiser+Kraft)

Enkelfähig rating: 4.0

Unobtrusive but unbeatably useful: shelf trolleys for transporting and storing small parts in a production site exist in countless designs and sizes. The version from TAKKT's subsidiary Kaiser+Kraft is not only particularly easy to handle and very durable with a ten-year warranty period, but also meets all other enkelfähig criteria: Recycled and recyclable materials, climate-neutral delivery, eco-friendly powder coating, solid profitability and thus a very good rating.

Recycled PES Fabric (BekaertDeslee)

Enkelfähig rating: 4.0

For its recent NEO Extended collection, BekaertDeslee uses innovative materials such as recycled polyester. Turning PET from plastic bottles into new yarns significantly reduces the products’ carbon footprint. At the same time, all the positive characteristics of virgin PES are retained: meaning that the lightweight yarns are durable, colorfast and flexible, while being shrink and wrinkle resistant. The fabrics have fashionable designs, are available in a variety of colors, and are thus as attractive to customers as of a good value for the company.

Solar tower (BauWatch)

Enkelfähig rating: rating process ongoing

No electricity? No problem. The BauWatch Solar tower even works when there is no conventional power source available because it operates on solar energy and rechargeable batteries. When it's cloudy the batteries step in without interruption. Until now, the “BauWatch Solar” was mainly used in large infrastructure projects or on construction sites where power supply was not yet secured. In times of rising energy uncertainty, however, low energy costs and CO2 neutrality play a significant role as a selling proposition – and also drive the Solar tower’s sales.

Bistro Jacket Scandic Line (CWS)

Enkelfähig-Rating: 4.2

The fabric is made from recycled polyester and recycled cotton, produced by a European supplier that uses green energy in its production, and distributed via a rental model – CWS' new “Scandic Line” catering and food clothing series was designed with a sustainability angle right from the beginning. In addition to good product features such as durability, breathability and high comfort, the collection also focuses on the expansion of sustainable supply chains, demonstrating that enkelfähig needs to go far beyond one's own system boundaries.
