Haniel Holding provides regular and transparent information on its progress. Most recently, we have sharpened our investment strategy and focused on sustainability and the performance of the portfolio companies. The new investment approach and the results of the sustainability strategy are the subject of the next sustainability report, which we will prepare in accordance with the international guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). We regularly publish further information on our sustainability activities and current topics on LinkedIn.
Based on the European Union's CSR Directive and the corresponding German implementing legislation, Haniel publishes a separate report on the non-financial statement. It deals with the material topics with respect to environmental, employee and social issues, as well as respect for human rights and combating corruption and bribery in the Haniel Group.
Haniel has developed a new investment focus: In future, sustainability will be at the centre of all our thoughts and actions. Our self-imposed mission is to design sustainable business models for a future worth living in. As a member of the UN Global Compact, Haniel has been committed to its ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption since 2014 and is committed to spreading them. The so-called Communication on Progress, which the company publishes annually, demonstrates its efforts to support the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in its own influence.
