Peter Sticksel to become new Group Director HR at Haniel

Internal solution for key position found again – employer attractiveness to be strengthened further.

Duisburg, October 11, 2011. The Haniel Group is appointing a new Group Director HR: Peter Sticksel will succeed Dr Michael Prochaska as of 1 January 2012. “We are pleased once again to have been able to fill a key position within the company with an internal candidate,” stresses Haniel CEO Prof Jürgen Kluge. “This demonstrates the quality of our HR work, which we intend to optimise further under the leadership of Mr Sticksel.” Other important associated issues are succession planning and HR development. A further objective is to strengthen the identity and attractiveness of Haniel as an employer.

Peter Sticksel has worked for Haniel for four years and has so far been responsible for Management Development within the Group, focusing on talent recruitment and promotion. The 46-year-old economist previously worked at the Helmut Schmidt University of the Federal Armed Forces and the Hilti family group, where he held senior management positions for ten years, most recently as Head of HR at the German market organisation. Peter Sticksel lives with his partner and son in Neuss.
