Duisburg, 26 April 2010. Today Andreas Heinze, CEO of CWS-boco International, asked Haniel's Management Board to terminate his contract immediately for personal reasons. The Management Board has agreed, and has appointed Maximilian Teichner, Head of the Haniel department Corporate Development/M&A, as his successor.
"We thank Mr Heinze for his many years of excellent work at CWS boco, and for the lasting positive developments he has initiated," said Haniel Management Board member Stefan Meister. Heinze, who became CEO of CWS-boco International in 2006, propelled the merger of the CWS and boco brands, and assisted in the expansion to China and Sweden.
New appointments from the company's own ranks
Effective immediately, Maximilian Teichner will take over as CEO of CWS-boco. He began his career with the Haniel Group in 2000 and has served in a number of functions in the holding company and in a corporate division. As head of Corporate Development/M&A, Mr Teichner, 39, oversaw the successful sale of the former Xella division. He is married and has three children. His position in the Haniel holding company will be filled by Dr Gabriele Hühn, previously the head of Strategy and Portfolio Management in the Corporate Development/M&A department. Dr Hühn, 38, holds a doctorate in business administration. She began her career with the Haniel holding in 2001 in the Finance department. "I am most pleased that we were able to fill the open positions so quickly with such highly qualified managers from our own ranks," says Professor Jürgen Kluge, Chairman of the Managing Board of Haniel.
