Duisburg, 8 May 2019. Velina Allerkamp has been appointed Senior Vice President Strategy at Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, effective May 15th, 2019. To ensure a continuous development of a strategy for Haniel and the Group, this function has been newly created as a corporate staff function. In addition to her role as Head Corporate Development at CWS, Velina has already supported the work on the reorientation of the Haniel Group since March 2019.
Velina Allerkamp (38) joined CWS on 1 March as Head of Corporate Development and is a member of the CWS Group’s Leadership team. Prior to joining CWS Velina worked as Head of Strategy for GEA Group, a German MDAX listed global engineering company. Between 2009 and 2012, she worked as Project Leader in the Corporate Development & Corporate Finance Practice of The Boston Consulting Group. She started her career in the investment banking division of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein back in 2005.
Velina brings a wealth of experience in portfolio management and strategy development to this new role. She will be responsible for the overarching Haniel strategy process and support Haniel’s portfolio companies in defining and sharpening their strategic agenda.
