German CSR Award: TAKKT wins first place in the area of Environmental Commitment

Stuttgart, Germany, October 9, 2018. Yesterday, TAKKT AG was recognized with the German CSR Award 2018 as the most sustainable company in the category "Environmental Commitment" at the German CSR Forum.

The award ceremony took place as part of the 14th German CSR Forum at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Baden-Württemberg. The TAKKT delegation, which included representatives from the subsidiary KAISER+KRAFT, accepted the CSR award at the ceremony attended by Baden-Württemberg's Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann. "For us, sustainability is a worthwhile investment in the future, which we see as a competitive advantage. We consider this award the confirmation of our commitment to sustainable business and as recognition of our work," said a joyful Felix Zimmermann, CEO of TAKKT AG. "Our sincere gratitude goes out to all employees who contributed to this achievement."

The main focus of the CSR "Environmental Commitment" award is the reduction of carbon emissions and increase in resource efficiency. TAKKT impressed the jury of experts and claimed victory. Guided by the principles of sustainability, the Group actively supports environmental and climate protection. KAISER+KRAFT Germany, the largest sales company in Europe, became entirely carbon-neutral at the beginning of 2018, therefore becoming the first large B2B direct marketing specialist to have a fully balanced carbon footprint. For years, the company has invested greatly to increase its efficiency and implement climate-friendly measures.

The German CSR Award is one of the most important accolades for sustainability and CSR commitment in Germany. An individual jury of specialists presides over each award category. Each award recognizes an outstanding example of social responsibility, encouraging other companies to follow suit. The award is bestowed upon companies that implement exemplary fair business practices and have an employee-oriented personnel policy, use natural resources sparingly, protect the climate and the environment, are involved in their communities and assume responsibility along the supply chain.
