Particularly family-friendly company in Duisburg

Haniel has been recognised by the Duisburg Family Alliance as a particularly family-friendly company. The judging panel was convinced by the flexible working hours, voluntary social benefits, cooperation with pme Familienservice, health benefits and a concept for advice on starting a family: “Haniel really offers everything that distinguishes a modern employer nowadays.”

“It seems that this company knows exactly what families need because it has stayed a family company despite its economic might. The principles of functioning families are part of this company’s DNA. In a functioning family, the family members take responsibility for one another. Haniel takes responsibility – for its employees, but also for its business location,” said the holder of the laudatory address. The prize is sponsored by the City of Duisburg, the business association, the chamber of commerce and industry, the employment agency, the job centre, the German Trade Union Confederation, Junior Chamber International Germany and the Association of Welfare Organisations. All initiators emphasised the great importance of family-friendliness as a factor for businesses’ success.
