CWS-boco

CWS-boco offers business customers work wear, washroom hygiene products and dust control mats as long-term rental solutions. The textiles are properly prepared during the service cycle and hence made reusable again and again. One example is the cloth towel roll: A single roll can be washed and used again up to 100 times – that is not just hygienic, but also good for the environment.

TAKKT

TAKKT’s distribution model is very ecologically compatible, because ordering office equipment by mail is often the more environmentally-friendly alternative to over-the-counter retailers. First, because the merchandise goes directly from the producers to the end customer without intermediate stages. Second, because the customers do not drive to a, or even several, retail dealers to shop. Mail-order therefore creates comparatively less CO2 emissions.

ELG

By recycling raw materials for the stainless steel industry, ELG contributes to ensuring and protecting the natural supplies of raw materials from which stainless steel is made. In addition: If stainless steel producers do not extract the raw materials from natural deposits, but use recycled materials instead, they save energy in the production process, and as a result of this reduce their CO2 emissions and thus the environmental impact.

Celesio

As a retail, logistics and service company, Celesio places people’s health at the centre of its business activities: The division contributes to an effective, secure and affordable provision of pharmaceuticals and healthcare products  and services that are available at all times in a responsible manner. Celesio employees have thus been helping other people for 176 years in their daily work and beyond.

Metro

Six key areas

The METRO GROUP provides many millions of people worldwide with foodstuffs, textiles, electronics, and other important products daily. As it does so, it assumes responsibility not only for the quality of the merchandise, but also for its environmental and social compatibility. To that end, years ago the company established a successful sustainability management programme with the action areas “Supply Chain & Products”, “Energy and Resource Management”, “Employees and Social” as well as “Social Policy and Stakeholder Dialogue”. The results are published regularly in a sustainability report and at www.metrogroup.de under “Sustainability & CSR”.
