Bicycle Repair Shop

In the basement of a building in Nikolausburg, Duisburg, the Ruhrorter Hafenkids are beavering away with their screwdrivers, sandpaper and cleaning rags. Every Friday evening, they meet here to make old bikes roadworthy again. They are helped by Haniel employee, Ugur Bozkurt.

Little Scientist’s House Duisburg

Three- to six-year-old girls and boys experiment at child daycare centres with things such as water, carbonated water and electricity. Since 2006, the nationwide Little Scientist’s House initiative has promoted scientific and technological education at an early age – now also in Duisburg with Haniel as the main sponsor.
