Management | Detlef Drafz (born 1962) |  is CEO of ELG as of January 2012. His career path brought him from positions in the Haniel holding company and Eisenlegierungen Handelsgesellschaft mbH to ELG company headquarters in 1992. After two years, the business administration graduate became head of the Controlling and Finance department there, which included working for ELG in the USA. In 2007 he rose to the position of Head of Commercial Operations. |
| Silke Landwehrmann (born 1971) |  is Head of Commercial Operations at ELG as of January 2012. Born in Cologne, she completed a degree in Business Administration at the University of Würzburg in 1996. She then worked as a research assistant at the University of Bonn, where she also received her doctorate in 2000. In the same year, Landwehrmann joined the Haniel holding company in Duisburg as an analyst and team leader in the Corporate Finance/M&A division. In 2004, she moved to the Corporate Department for Business Administration, which she headed until the end of 2011. |
| Norbert Späker (born 1957) |  has been a member of the management of ELG since 1998 and was CEO from 2007 until 2011. The business economist worked for the Haniel Group Holding Company for four years before starting at ELG in 1984: In 1990 he became an authorised signatory of Eisenlegierungen Handelsgesellschaft mbH and two years later the company’s managing director In this function he was responsible for the Sales, Controlling and HR divisions. |
| Michael G. Wright (born 1947) |  Since taking on his role as Chief Operations Officer at ELG in January 2007, he has been responsible for technical and quality assurance in particular. In 1981, he started as Managing Director of the UK headquarters. From 1987, he was responsible for the whole of business in the UK as a member of the ELG Managing Board. He is involved in recycling industry associations – for example, he is the President of the British Metals Recycling Association. |
