At Haniel, it is our declared aim to identify and develop potential managers from our own ranks. The ideal situation we are striving for: the right manager at the right time in the right place. Haniel Leadership Curriculum finds managers where they are and, with Group-wide, English-language programmes, it prepares them to go up the next rung of the ladder.
EXPLORE! Emerging Leaders Programme
On the EXPLORE! Emerging Leaders Programme, up-and-coming talents are prepared for their first management roles in the Group. The EXPLORE! programme begins with a Development Center that will serve to provide the emerging leaders with an indication of their potentials and fields of development from which they derive learning targets for the programme. During the action-oriented training the participants familiarise themselves with management instruments and reflect on their own management behaviour. As part of the programme, they take on responsibility for projects. They also build up a Group-wide network and foster a cross-divisional exchange of experiences.
EXPAND! Advanced Leaders Programme
On the EXPAND! Advanced Leaders Programme, members of middle management develop the skills they need in order to lead effectively in a complex and dynamic environment. They become familiar with new management models and apply these in teamwork, for example when implementing strategic topics. Exchanging experiences is a significant element in this programme – as is the maintenance and extension of contacts throughout the Group.
EXCEL! Senior Leaders Programme
The top-programme in the Haniel Leadership Curriculum is based on a key strategic theme which is given by the Chairman of Haniel’s Managing Board. The participants jointly work out solutions to central challenges that the Group and the individual Corporate Divisions are facing in a changing environment. At the same time, the programme offers participants a platform to reflect on their own management style and find new ways of enhancing its effectiveness. The participants intensify their networking and come into dialogue with the Board.
